Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. 1 Timothy 2:4
Shalom dear brothers and sisters,
As I wrote before, the subject of 'healing' continues to fascinate me immensely. After my blog post of February 6, more than a month ago now, there has passed so many things. I still have a blog post waiting on the shelf for you about healing. I wanted to post it the day before yesterday, but on that afternoon there was 'Something in me', or perhaps written in better words: 'Someone in me', Who stopped me. I received the words in my heart 'there is more, I will take you even further'. And I knew it immediately....
Personally, when I think of healing, I usually think at physical healing. I pray for many people who have not yet given their hearts to Jesus, but I actually realize that I am praying for the greatest miracle that can happen in someone's life. There is actually no greater miracle than when someone gives his or her heart to Jesus.
And suddenly it became crystal clear to me in a different way: 'the healing of the heart, someone's soul is the greatest miracle and comes first'. That should be the subject of my blog post. I went to sleep that night and got up again yesterday morning to make it to the hospital on time with my son who had to undergo surgery on his teeth.
I had already called in a number of prayerworriors with the request to pray that the procedure would go smoothly, but if it was even possible, maybe God could straighten his teeth so that an operation would not be necessary at all. After all, I believe in His miraculous power.
When I arrived in the operating room, I was allowed to be present as a supporter. Before the whole 'game' started, I said I wanted to pray for the surgery and simply took the opportunity and said a brief prayer and thanksgiving to God, in Jesus name. The surgery went well. But there was no supernatural healing in my son's teeth.
However, there was another supernatural miracle event in the operating room. The miracle of my prayer in Jesus Name. Had my son's teeth been straightened by God, these two people would not have heard the testimony of my prayer. The procedure was supposed to take 10 to 15 minutes, but was completed in 5 minutes without any complications.
In addition, another supernatural miracle took place in the surgery room. The miracle of my son's trust in the LORD during the two anesthetics. He said this to me after the anesthetics had worn off and the surgeon and assistant had even disappeared from the operating room.
God sometimes goes a different way to heal people in another area of their lives that He considers much more important. I was healed of my 'shyness' to pray in public in a childishly spontaneous way for an tensive happening: my trust in God by simply expressing this through my prayer. My son put his trust in God during the two anesthetics and who knows what will happen to the surgeon and the assistant as the Holy Spirit continues to preach in their lives...
When I got home, I wanted to continue with my blog post that has been on the shelf for weeks. I could not express in a few lines in a 'supplement' what the Holy Spirit made clear to me over the past 48 hours about healing of the soul, our heart. Sitting at my desk, with my Bible in front of me, I thought: ‘this has to be a blog post on itself'. This writing serves as an underground, because most important is the healing of one's soul. That's what Jesus invited us to do: "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature." And Jesus' sole reason for this command to us was: save (heal) the people from hell and lead them to My Kingdom where true Life is.
As I turned to the Bible to seek His Words for clarification to my readers, the Holy Spirit revealed something to me. The Gospel of Mark immediately came into my mind. In the last chapter we read the following:
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
Mark 16:15-18
While reading, the following words spontaneously came out of my mouth:
“Miracles and signs (healings) that follow believers are a duw to the greatest miracle: the salvation of mankind.”
Yes! Of course! I have known this with my mind for so long, but now I see it in the light of my heart and my supernatural eyes now see clearly: First the greatest miracle; the greatest healing: the salvation of the soul, the healing of the heart.
Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
1Timothy 2:4
For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord GOD: wherefore turn yourselves, and live ye.
Ezekiel 18:32
Jesus is primarily concerned with the Greatest Miracle: the healing of our sick souls. If our soul is not saved, then we go to eternal death, where we are sick and in pain forever. Salvation: That's our first Healing: It's Jesus!!! He is the Way, the Truth and the Life.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3:16
Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.
Luke 15:10
Precisely the reason why God descended from His throne to become Man and pave the way to a personal relationship with Him again. Beyond the veil. A nice prospect of what Easter is all about. Our Salvation. The greatest miracle. And we may share His greatest miracle with the people around us and have our heart heal at first.
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
John 14:12
May the Lord bless you abundantly with His healing power,
Awaiting His return,
Natasja
