And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see. And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth. Revelation 6:7-8

We arrived The Lamb opening the fourth seal. Here we see a green horse appearing. Most translations write: 'pale horse' or 'gray horse'. When we look at the original Greek text, we see that here chlōros. The first meaning of chlōros is green. The second meaning of the word chlōros 'yellowish pale' is mentioned. When we dig deeper into the primary word, we see the word 'chloē' which means 'green, greenish'.
As we read vers 6 and 7 well, we discover that we are dealing here with two riders. Both horsemen have a share in the killing of people on earth: Death and Hell. Death takes away the body, and Hell takes away the soul of human. This indicates that some people will also die and retain their souls. They finally have chosen Jesus during this time of judgment, but they must pay for their lives with death.
And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Matthew 10:28
Another part of the human kind will not surrender their souls to God. They will have to spend eternal death in Hell. As we read on we see that these two horsemen are given the power to take away a quarter of the world's population.
After the Rapture of the true believers into heaven, quite an amount of people have already disappeared from earth. 1/4 of the number of the world population that are left behind will be killed. The current world population is over 8,000,000,000 (8 trillion). To give an idea of the magnitude of human mortality, if we were to use the current population, this would mean that 2,000,000,000 (2 trillion) people will die at that time. It is almost impossible to imagine how massive this will be. Never before in history has this happened. The Holocaust had approximately 6,000,000 (6 million) victims. The Second World War had a total of between 50 and 70,000,000 (million) victims.
In verse 7 we read that the two horsemen are given four strategies to wipe out a quarter of humanity: the sword, hunger, death, and the beasts of the earth. The sword is a tool of carrying out violence. The two horsemen can use various ways with the sword. Wars, civil unrest and crime are possibilities. In addition, hunger will be rampant. Not only the third world countries will be affected by hunger then, but the whole world. The third remedy mentioned is death and needs no explanation. Then we read the 'wild beasts of the earth'. Food shortages caused by the ecological devastation will force predators in the animal kingdom to find alternative food sources to stay alive. They will look for their new prey in the villages and towns. A horrible scenario these two horsemen will produce.
I am grateful to Jesus that His true followers will not have to experience these judgments. He will take us away from this earth into heaven.
And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come. 1 Thessalonians 1:10

The Lord Jesus will return and He will take us to Himself, so that we also will be there where He is now: in heaven! How glad I am to know Jesus! I can shout it out to the world: Jesus loves you! He wants you to escape too and not have to experience the time of judgment. That is why I use the talent He has given me: I keep on writing: Jesus is the only Way, Truth and Life: Come to Him and you will escape! How beautiful is that!
