Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. John 15:16
Shalom dear brothers and sisters,
My new blogpost is under construction for 3 weeks now, but every time I want to post it, I receive a new revelation. That's why I'm still waiting to post it. It is a follow-up to my previous blogpost 'Arise and walk'. During last week's writing, I gained another subject on my heart.
I have been figuring it out for myself for a long, long while. We all have the commandment Jesus told us to preach the gospel. That is clear. But I am referring to the unique destination He has in store for us personally.
We all do know the collective mission we as Christians have. It is what Jesus told us:
Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
John 15:16
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost
Matthew 28:19
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
Mark 16:15
To spread the gospel can be done in many different ways. Every person has received his or her own unique talent from God. Everyone has a unique color, so that together we can be a fragrance and a color in this world like a beautiful bouquet of flowers. This is how we are the Body of the Lord Jesus. One will work as a light bearer at work. The other one will be a leading role in the lives of people right around them, like their neighbors, friends and family.
Sometimes we can also put our own plans first and park the plans God has for our lives. We labor and labor and eventually we discover that the path we have chosen through our own flesh is not the path with the perfect blessings of God. The Bible is also talking about this subject in:
There are many devices in a man's heart; nevertheless the counsel of the LORD, that shall stand.
Proverbs 19:21
But how do you know which unique color and talent is yours and how you can set in? How do you know if you are on the right track so that God will bless you? I think there are some important key points that we can always check for ourselves. A kind of a checklist, so to speak. I'll mention a few for you to help you on your way.
Rest of God
Better is an handful with quietness, than both the hands full with travail and vexation of spirit.
Ecclesiastes 4:6
We can have many plans, but how do we know if we are on the path in which God will bless us? Perhaps you have chosen a path and time after time you labor and work hard, but consistently it results in only tiny blessings or no blessing at all. Or you have ideas about taking a certain path, but you're not sure yet. As soon as you clearly notice that the rest in your heart is disappearing, you should not do it and stop the process. Just wait and seek God.
Confusing
If you notice that there will be inconvenience, it is better to wait. Everything you have to push is not of the Holy Spirit. When it is from the LORD, things happen smoothly and God opens doors for you. If you force it, you also lose your rest and can become a threat.
Fear

When fear arrives in your heart, you will notice that problems will arise. The plans you have will not last long. They are short-lived. As God's plan is revealed to you, things will continue to come again and again and everything will become clearer and clearer.
Some people start with God but gradually our connection with the Holy Spirit is disconnecting slowly and we no longer hear God's voice. We have stopped talking to God, rand that can result in confusion and the rest in our heart will disappear. If you notice that this is happening, the best is to put on the brakes till peace returns in your heart. Return to where your Holy Spirit navigation system is working properly again. Then you will see that the blessings will come again and you will be back on the right track.
Confirmation
God will confirm you through different people. If it is not confirmed, it is better not to do it and wait. When God is involved, He will always send someone to confirm your plans and ways. God is in no hurry. God always moves with us step by step, calmly. The enemy always demands everything 'immediately'. He wants you to act impulsively and in a forced manner and in addition he will always try to 'please' your flesh.
God takes time for us. God prepares us, God builds, and builds, step by step, in which He will continually affirm us. The moment a door opens, you are also supposed to take the next step.
Bullying from the enemy and how can you deal with it
Sometimes the enemy tries to interfere with God's plan. He will try to throw obstacles in our ways. For example, by bringing people unto our path who tries to ruin things. Or by putting thoughts in our head, so that we suddenly hear too many voices. There are times when we don't know what God's intention is for us. We're doing everything right, but it's still not completely clear to us.
We can use a number of things to fight the battle and hear God's voice clearly again, so that we know which direction God wants to take us.
Ask for prayer support from brothers and sisters
Now I beseech you, brethren, for the Lord Jesus Christ's sake, and for the love of the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in your prayers to God for me; That I may be delivered from them that do not believe in Judaea; and that my service which I have for Jerusalem may be accepted of the saints; That I may come unto you with joy by the will of God, and may with you be refreshed.
Romans 15:30-32
We may ask the help of our brothers and sisters to pray for our situation. Paul also asked his brothers and sisters in Rome to join him in praying for him so that he might be saved. A good example that we can follow.
Praying in the Spirit
Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
Romans 8:26
Sometimes when you no longer understand God's voice, you can hear His voice again by praying or singing in the Spirit, also called speaking in tongues. Then it is important to wait until the Holy Spirit reveals to you what He wants to say to you. You will find that if you take the time to do this, the confusion will disappear. The enemy's blocks will be removed and the enemy's voice will be silenced. When you pray in the Spirit, this can bring refreshment, resistance is removed and you will experience freedom again.
Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
2 Corinthians 3:17
Singing as a weapon against the enemy for victory
And the Levites, of the children of the Kohathites, and of the children of the Korhites, stood up to praise the LORD God of Israel with a loud voice on high. And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper. And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the LORD, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the LORD; for his mercy endureth for ever. And when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten.
2 Chronicles 20:19-22
I don't think I need to add much more to this scripture. It is perfectly clear from this testimony that the power of praise and worship brings victory.
The ultimate goal is to please Him and do His will. In our deeds and ways here on earth, we may ask the Holy Spirit for advice and direction every day, so that we know that we will stay on the right track or getting back on track.
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
1 Corinthians 15:58
Awaiting His return,
Natasja
