Do you know that too?Feeling totally defeated at times? Everything seems to be against you. A lot of struggles in your life... And that you sometimes think to yourself "will it ever end?" You would almost sit in sackcloth and ashes. But then suddenly you hear a Voice in your heart: in your mind, Who says "Am I not greater? Am I not stronger?" Renewing thoughts flow through you. Encouraging thoughts. Thoughts that make you stronger, thoughts that are the Words of God. And that means that He speaks to you.
The moment I start to think that I seem to be defeated, Jesus starts to speak and tells me that those negative thoughts are a lie and do not come from Him. Because He is greater than who is in the world. Even though I do not see it at that moment in my life, it is still the Truth, that He is greater than who is in the world. That gives me hope and gives me strength. Not by looking with my natural eyes, but with His eyes, Who see the whole picture and He is always and everywhere with me. He leads me through the deep valleys of darkness as Psalm 23 tells us that "even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me." With this I know that Jesus does not leave me alone in the valley. So, I renew my thoughts. I recognize the lie of the one who is in the world, who tries to convince me that things will not go well.
"...'and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, '
Ephesians 4:23
Every time I discover again how important it is to know His Word, because otherwise I would start believing in the lie of him who are in the world. Being, living and moving fully in His Word every day is my strength. And because I live in His Word, I recognize the lies of those who are in the world more and more quickly and together with Jesus I suppress them.
Dear people, don't let a day go by reading His Word. This is the way your thoughts will renewed again and again and the Holy Spirit can renew your mind into His Truth and He will put His Word in your mind during the battle. Trust in Him and look up. He is always near and He will prepare a table in the eyes of all your enemies.
